Odisha's Dola Yatra and Bengal's Sharad Utsav were depicted in the tableux of both the states at the Republic Day parade today.
Dola Yatra is a popular festival celebrated by the people in the state during the time of Holi festival in February-March. The Dola festival signifies the journey of Goddess Radha and Lord Krishna for ultimate union in tradition of the Bhakti cult.
The front portion of the Odisha tableau depicted symbolic worship of Lord Krishna in a colourful swing while people in a procession playing traditional instruments and worshipping the deity made up the rear.

The Sharad Utsav signifies the festive season in the state with Durga Puja at the focal point. The interiors and exteriors of the Puja pandals decorated with art motifs were highlighted in the tableau.
Featuring a skillful performance by drummers, the rear portion of the tableau portrays Bengal in autumn.
