Finolex cables today reported a 37.76 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 68.43 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2016.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 49.67 crore in the same period a year ago.
Its net sales during the quarter under review jumped 9.89 per cent to Rs 668.94 crore as compared to Rs 608.70 crore in the October-December quarter of last fiscal, Finolex Cables said in a regulatory filing.
The company's revenue from the electrical cables segment went up by 5.19 per cent to Rs 559.67 crore in the third quarter, from Rs 532.03 crore in the year-ago period.
Shares of Finolex Cables today settled at Rs 451.10 apiece on BSE, down 3.72 per cent from its previous close.
