Five minor girls rescued from brothel

After an information that minor girls were being forced into prostitution by their parents, a police raid was conducted last evening at Ramnager, nine kms away from the district headquarters in Sadar police station area, and five girls were rescued, S P Priti Chandra today said.

The girls were today produced before a court, which sent them to juvenile home.

There were reports that the minor girls were kept in custody at Sadar police station last night, which Additional SP N L Pavan admitted that it was illegal.
