Five of family taken ill of suspected food-poisoning

Five persons of a family were were taken ill after consuming food in their house at Kairana town in Shamli district, police said.

The incident took place yesterday when the five, identified as Afzal (50), Asgari (65), Sahadab (18) Nagma (16), and Shoaib (12), complained of headache, vomitting, and stomach disorder, following which they were rushed to a hospital, police said.

The police suspect this a case of food-poisoning and the incident is being investigated.
