Five students go missing during bath in Ganga

Five students preparing for engineering entrance examination today went missing while taking bath in river Ganga here, police said.

Officer in-charge of Pirbahore police station Nisar Ahmad said that six students staying in a private hostel in Boring Canal road went to Ganga for bath.

Five of them entered into river at Gandhi ghat while the sixth stayed back to look after clothes, the OC said adding the students had plan to cross the river and go on another side in Sonepur.

The student waiting at the bank informed the Pirbahore police station about missing of five of his friends after finding no trace of them for many hours, the OC said.
 

NDRF team has been called to search for the missing five, the OC said adding Sonepur police station has also been informed about them.

The students are studying in private coaching institute.
