Five-year-old raped by teenager

Subha Chakravarty (19), was alone at his home last evening when the girl, who stays in the neighbourhood, came to his house last night.

Taking advantage of the situation, Chakravarty allegedly raped the girl. Later, after returning home, the girl narrated the incident to her parents.

As soon as news spread, a group of locals went to the youth's house and thrashed him. Later in the night, police arrested the youth.

The girl was admitted to a local hospital and discharged this morning after treatment.
