Foreigner's passport, phone stolen at Surajkund Crafts fair

Passport of a foreigner and high-end mobile phones are among the articles stolen by thieves at the ongoing Surajkund Crafts fair near here, police said today.

Yesterday, a Lebanon tourist Fatima Khatooni at the fair lodged a complaint that her passport and a mobile phone have been stolen, police spokesperson said.

A New Delhi resident Deepak has also lodged a complaint with the police suspecting theft of his mobile phone by thieves yesterday, he said.

A case has been lodged on the basis of the complaints received and probe has been launched, the official said.

Complaints of theft from foreign tourists and others had emerged a couple of days ago, too, even as the administration assured of proper security arrangements security at the craft fair.
