Girl, 1st year engineering student, allegedly commits suicide

A young girl, a first-year B-tech student, allegedly ended her life by jumping in front of a running train at Chinthal near Warangal railway station this morning, police said.

Rupavathi Lalitha (19), the deceased, was a student of Kakatiya University College, Warangal.

Sub-inspector of Railway police K Sreenivas said she was from a scheduled tribe and came from Ramachandrapuram village in Matampelli mandal of Nalgonda district. She was staying at a private hostel here.

The body, which was mangled, was identified from SIM card in her phone. Autopsy will be conducted at MGM Hospital.
