Girl found murdered near farmhouse, rape suspected

Body of a girl, with a piece of cloth tied around her neck, was today recovered from near a farmhouse on the NH-24 in Kavi Nagar area here.

It is suspected that the girl, whose identity could not be established, was raped before being strangulated to death, police said.

A case in this connection has been lodged and further probe is on, they added.
