About 2.1 kg of gold biscuits and an ingot valued at Rs 70 lakh were seized by customs officials from a man who arrived here today from Sharjah.
Customs officials grew suspicious over the movements of Ashraf (24) from Kerala, who arrived here by an Air Arabia flight at 3.30 AM, and searched him. The gold and ingot were found hidden in the pockets of his pants, police said.
He was later handed over to police for further questioning.
