Govt to form Joint Working Group for trade with Tatarstan

Fertilizer Minister Ananth Kumar today said the government will form a joint working group to promote trade in the fertilizer space with Republic of Tatarstan in Russia.

A Russian delegation led by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov today called on Fertilizer Minister Ananth Kumar for strengthening of bilateral relations and trade.

"A Joint Working Group will be formed within a week comprising representatives of, Department of Fertilizers, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals and Department of Pharmaceuticals and representatives of Republic of Tatarstan (a subject of the Russian Federation)," an official statement said today.

The group will cull out issues concerning promotion of trade, strengthening of bilateral relations and exploring possibilities for training and research work for the personnel working in this field, the statement added.
 

India looks forward to long-term agreement for import of potash, phosphate and natural gas of which Russia has huge reserves, the Minister said.
