Ratan Parimoo, former dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and current chairman of the institute's alumni association, said the exhibition is to raise money to provide scholarships to poor students who want to pursue fine arts.

He said the art works on display include those of Bhupen Khakhar, Padma Vibhushan awardee KG Subramanyan, sculptors Shanko Choudhary and Nagji Patel, as well as former Maharaja of Baroda Ranjitsinh Gaekwad.
