The Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, Basar, today said it has entered into an MoU with Non Ferrous Materials Technology Development Centre, Hyderabad to offer a joint M Tech and PhD Programme.
The MoU was signed by RGUKT Basar Vice Chancellor A Ashok Kumar and NFTDCs Director, K Bala Subramanian at RGUKT Campus in Basar of Nirmal district of Telangana, RGUKT said in a press release here.
The MoU entails offering a joint MTech and PhD programme, exchange of faculty and scientists in course work as well as research, submission of joint project proposals to funding agencies, sharing of necessary laboratory equipment and facilities for collaborative research projects.
Under the MoU a few students of RGUKT, Basar, will be given an option of serving in NFTDC upon satisfying the eligibility criteria, it said.
NFTDC is an autonomous and self-financing R&D institution under the aegis of the Ministry of Mines.
RGUKT is an autonomous body,set up on a 270 acre campus to cater to needs of rural meritorious students, offering Under Graduate, Post Graduate and PhDs in various programmes.
It has been adopted by the Government of Telangana.
