Gur prices end quiet on scattered buying

Wholesale gur (jaggery) prices closed steady here today after moving in a tight range.

A similar trend also emerged at Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets on little doing.

Marketmen said scattered buying support along with sufficient stocks positions kept gur prices unchanged.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,000-3,100, pedi Rs 3,000-3,100, dhayya Rs 3,200-3,300 and shakkar Rs 3,300-3,400.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,100-2,150, chakku Rs 2,450-2,800, khurpa Rs 2,500-2,550 and Ladoo Rs 2,600- 2,700.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,625-2,750 and dhayya Rs 2,800-2850.
