There was not much activity at the wholesale gur market in the national capital today in the absence of wortwhile buying activity and settled around previous levels.
However, gur in Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar, showed a rising trend on tight supplies from producing belts.
At Muzzafarngar, gur chakku, khurpa and laddo traded higher at Rs 2,200-2,400, Rs 2,200-2,250 and Rs 2,300-2,400 from previous levels of Rs 2,175-2,300, Rs 2,100-2,150 and Rs 2,200-2,250 per quintal respectively.

Gur pedi and dhayya prices in Muradngar, also moved up to Rs 2,200-2,300 and Rs 2,300-2,350 as compared to previous levels of Rs 2,100-2,150 and Rs 2,150-2,200 per quintal respectively.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku 2,400-2,500, pedi 2,500-2,600, dhayya 2,700-2,800 and shakkar 2,800-2,900.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,100-2,200, chakku 2,200-2,400, khurpa 2,200-2,250 and Ladoo 2,300-2,400.
Muradnagar: Pedi 2,200-2,300 and dhayya 2,300-2,350.
