Haryana govt caution chemists

Haryana Health Minister Rao Narender Singh today cautioned chemists and pharmacists in the state not to sell medicines with expiry date.

"Anyone found selling medicines with expiry date will be liable for action," an official statement quoting the minister said.

He said that with a view to curbing corrupt practices, the state government has decided to start online system to issue license to pharmacists in the state.

On tackling diseases during summer season, he said all civil surgeons have been directed to maintain adequate stock of medicines for cholera, fever and other diseases in all Primary Health Centres, Community Health Centres as well as hospitals.
