Haryana retains title

Reigning champions Haryana women retained the trophy, beating Himachal Pradesh 35-28 in the 37th National Handball Junior Women's (U-19) Championship, here today.

Earlier, the champions defeated Punjab 23-19 in the semi-finals, while Himachal Pradesh beat Tamil Nadu 29-28.

Tamil Nadu, who were one of the favourites, had to remain content with the third place after defeating Punjab 29-28.
