Pop star Britney Spears says she will always be a hopeless romantic despite having gone through some "horrible relationships" in her time.

The 34-year-old "Piece of Me" hitmaker, who has two marriages and one broken engagement behind her, still believes in love, reported Female First.

"Unfortunately, I am a hopeless romantic. I've been through horrible relationships, but unfortunately I still believe in love and I think you should protect your heart and stuff like that, but I am a hopeless romantic. I believe in love," she said.
