The 70-member team of musicians having an expertise on brass, woodwind, reed, string, electronic and percussion instruments will give a 90-minute performance, including two Marathi numbers, at Yashwant Stadium on January 12, a defence release said today.
The Air Warrior Symphony Orchestra is organised by the Maintenance Command with an aim to display soft skills of Air Force and motivating youths and students to join the Armed Forces.
The Symphony Orchestra had earlier performed at Rashtrapati Bhawan besides participating in concerts held in France, Italy, Germany, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, the release said.
Maharashtra Governor K Shankarnarayanan and Vice-Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal D C Kumeria, will be the chief guests at the concert.
