A total of 1,611 cartons of illicit liquor worth Rs 25 lakh was seized in Rajasthan's Churu district, police said Wednesday.
The liquor, manufactured in Punjab and Arunachal Pradesh, was found stashed in a truck intercepted in the Rajgarh police station area, Churu SP Rammurti Joshi said.
The driver and his helper, however, managed to flee, he said.
The truck and the liquor were seized under sections of the Excise Act and a search was underway to nab the accused, the SP said.
