Independent candidate in Bihar held by Meghalaya police

Chandra Mohan Jha, an independent candidate from Jhanjharpur parliamentary constituency, was arrested today in a forgery case against him, police said.

A police team from Meghalaya nabbed Jha from a railway station soon after he completed his election speech, SP Naveen Chandra Jha said.

The independent candidate, who has business interests in Meghalaya, was evading arrest in a case of forgery against him, he said.
