An Indian was among eight people arrested today in Nepal with a huge cache of drugs smuggled to the country from India, police said.
A team of Narcotics Control Bureau nabbed them from Prithvi Chowk in Pokhara city, a tourist hub in western Nepal, along with 500 morphine, 500 ampoules of diazepam and 500 phenergan, said police inspector Rabindra Gurung.
The Indian national identified as Shiva Kumar Nisha hails from Uttar Pradesh's Sant Kabirnagar district.

Kumar and Nepalese national Ajay Shahi had smuggled the drugs to Nepal from India while the remaining others were buyers, sellers and users of the contraband, the police official said.
Seven others who were arrested are from Pokhara and the surrounding areas, he added.
