A 33-year-old Indian man has died after falling from the balcony of his 16th floor apartment in Sharjah, the fourth such accident in the past five days.
The incident took place yesterday morning. The police are investigating whether it was a suicide pact or the victim fell accidently from the skyscraper, Gulf News reported today.
The incident followed three separate cases in which three persons fell to death in the past five days including a four-year-old girl on Thursday, a housemaid on Sunday and a 12-year-old girl on Monday.
The victim was identified by the police by his initials M A S.
Following the incident, M A S was rushed to Al Kuwaiti Hospital where he was pronounced brought dead and the body was moved to the forensic laboratory. Further investigations are underway.
