Indo-Bangla bridge tournament starts tomorrow

Leading players of India and Bangladesh will compete in the four-day All India Shree Cement Bridge Tournament beginning at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre tomorrow.

The championship will be a selection trial for the Indian team to the Asian Games in Indonesia scheduled in August.

The sport has been included as a competitive event in the Asian Games this time. The competition will be held for Team and Pair events where a prize purse money of Rs 4 lakh.

The winners of the team event will also get a direct entry into the selection trial of Indian Team for Bermuda Bowl, known as the World Cup for the Bridge in 2019.
