IOB, ONGC win in Fed Cup Basketball C'ship

IOB pulverised their rivals South Central Railways, after leading 39-24 at the half time, 80-45 in the men's category. P Rikin and Hareesh Kolroth scored 21 and 15 points respectively for IOB.

ONGC thrashed Jind, Haryana 96-59 after leading 51-17 at half time. Riyazuddin, Mohith Bhandari and Bhrugvenshi scored 18, 14, 14 points respectively.

In the other matches, Customs and Central Excise (Cochin) beat Captains Club Delhi 88-63. Manoj was the top scorer for Cochin, garnering 33 points.

In another match, Punjab Police trounced Captains Club Delhi, who lost their second match of the day, 74-53.

In the women's section, South-East Central Railway beat Kerala 79-68, Tamil Nadu defeated Chattisgarh 64-57, while Maharashtra won against Andhra Pradesh 89-12.
