Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today sanctioned a relief of Rs 3.87 lakhs to three auto-rickshaw owners, whose vehicles were set ablaze by miscreants for defying the separatist-sponsored strike.
"The Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 1.29 lakh each in favor of the three affected persons to enable them to purchase new vehicles and earn their livelihood," an official spokesman said.
On October 4, some miscreants had set ablaze three auto rickshaws here. The government had announced that the case shall be considered sympathetically for adequate relief to the vehicle owners in order to enable them to earn their livelihood.
