As Industries minister, Jain was already overseeing the work of the DSIIDC, but now he will be directly in charge of the operations.
Jain would be replacing K R Meena, an IAS officer of the 1993 batch. Meena and the AAP government had recently been at loggerheads as he had alleged that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had humiliated him in the presence of Jain.
Meena had also written a letter to the Chief Minister, asking for an apology.
