Secretary of State John Kerry and his Iranian counterpart will meet this week for the first time since they laid out the framework for a nuclear deal earlier this month.
The State Department said Kerry and Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif would meet today in New York where both men are participating in a conference at the United Nations on the nuclear non-proliferation treaty.
The meeting comes as nuclear negotiators try to complete a comprehensive agreement by the end of June.
The State Department said that in addition to his meeting with Zarif, Kerry will also see the foreign ministers of Egypt and Jordan at the UN.
