The energy generated from this plant is being fed to the local grid through a power purchase agreement (PPA) signed with the state distribution company under the New and Renewable Sources of Energy (NRSE) policy, the company said.
"This is for us, at L&T Construction, a significant step towards establishing our credentials. It is also extremely creditable that this state-of-the-art solar power plant has already exceeded the estimated performance," L&T Senior Executive Vice President (infrastructure and construction) S N Subrahmanyan said.
L&T has over 400 mw (including commissioned and under- construction) solar PV and concentrated solar thermal power projects in the country.
