Labourer dies after falling from 8th floor scaffolding

A labourer died and five others were injured after they fell from the scaffolding on the eighth floor of an under-construction building in suburban Borivali this morning, police said.

The incident took place at Ishwar Nagar area.

Alongwith the labourers, a woman residing nearby too was injured in the incident.

They were taken to Krishna and Shatabdi Hospitals, where one of the men was declared dead on arrival.

The deceased was identified as Prakash. The injured ones were identified as Atpudin, Titu, Mafzul, Bipin, Malanna, and woman Ilija Kale (40).

Police have registered a case of negligence.
