Leopard which attacked girl shot dead

A leopard was shot down by forest officials after the animal attacked and killed a girl near Jhajhara area here.

Official sources said the ten-year-old female leopard attacked nine-year-old Manisha who was playing outside her house at Dhoulas Biravadi Majra village yesterday. When villagers raised an alarm, the animal fled the spot leaving the girl injured.

The girl was taken to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.

Rattled by this, villagers asked the forest department to get the animal killed.

Forest officials employed shooter Sandeep Singh and got it killed last night, the sources said.
