Light to moderate rainfall occurred at most places in Bihar, the Meteorological Department said today.
Heavy rainfall occurred at one or two places in northwest and north central parts of the state, the Met office said, adding that light to moderate rain was recorded in rest of the state.
While Gaya registered the highest amount of rainfall at 4.4 mm, Purnea received 0.2 mm in the past 24 hours, it said.

Purnea recorded highest maximum temperature of the state at 32.7 degrees Celsius, followed by 32.5 degrees Celsius in Gaya, 32.4 and 31.5 degrees Celsius in Bhagalpur and Patna, respectively.
The state weather office has forecast generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder or dust storm in Patna, Gaya and Bhagalpur in the next 24 hours, while Purnea may witness a generally cloudy sky with light rain.
