Indian-origin filmmaker M Night Shyamalan has released the trailer of his latest movie "Split".
The video begins with Kevin (a scary, shaven-headed James McAvoy) kidnapping three teenage girls and locking them in a basement.
The story has been kept largely under wraps until now.
Shyamalan's most recent outing "The Visit" was a neat old-school horror, also centring around a teenaged girl, and it seemed like a return to form for him after high concept flops "After Earth" and "The Last Airbender."
McAvoy has been joined in "Split" by Anya Taylor-Joy, who shone in her starring role in "The Witch."
"Split" is produced by Jason Blum, who is considered the new godfather of horror.
"Split" will release in cinemas on January 20, 2017.
