A team of nine bikers from Maharashtra is on a 13,000-km-long adventure trip covering central, north, east and Northeastern states.

The bikers started their journey by road from Karad in Maharashtra and have travelled through Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and all the Northeastern states.

Team leader Deepak Digambar Bewalkar said they now want to cover Bhutan on their return journey to Maharashtra.

In Sikkim today, the team called on the state's Governor Shriniwas Patil at Raj Bhawan.

Patil, whose native place is also in Karad, lauded their physical endurance and courage to accomplish such feat.
