Man arrested for cheating by promising jobs

City police today arrested managing director of VSK Shipping Pvt Ltd Kallepalli Shiv Shanker (37) for allegedly duping unemployed youths to the tune of around Rs 12 lakh.

Shiv Shanker had taken money from around 50 unemployed youths, promising them jobs in various MNCs in Taiwan and Brazil.

After pocketing the money, he closed his firm, VSK Shipping, without providing job to a single person.

Investigating officer inspector K V Balakrishna today arrested Shanker.
