Man arrested for using unlicenced satellite phone

A man was arrested here for allegedly using an unlicenced satellite phone to talk to his son in the Gulf region, police said today.
Police suspect that the man, Srikrishna Singh, got the satellite phone from his son who earlier worked in merchant navy.
The Intelligence Bureau got information that a person had been using a satellite phone to talk to someone in the Gulf region and suspected him to be part of a sleeper cell of some terror outfits, they said.

The case was handed over to the Surveillance team who kept a close watch on the suspect for three days and then arrested him from Motikunj extension here.
The satellite phone has been confiscated and a case has been registered against Singh.
