Man arrested in UP with morphine worth 30 lakh

A man was arrested here with with morphine worth Rs 30 lakh, police said today.

The arrest was made last night when the police searched Ashutosh after receiving a tip-off on Deva road and recovered 300 gms of morphine with a market value of Rs 30 lakh from him, Superintendent of Police Abdul Hamid said.

The accused has been arrested and a case has been lodged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, the SP added.
