Man arrested with banned medicinal herb

Police today arrested a person and recovered eight kg of banned rare medicinal herb Nag Chatri from him in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
A police team recovered 8 kg of forest produce of Nagchattri from Mohd Aslam, a resident of Manoo village, from Gandoh area, a police spokesperson said here.
A case has been registered against Aslam under the Forest Act at Gandoh police station, he said.
Trillium govanianum is popularly known as Nag Chhatri.
