Man gets rigorous life imprisonment for killing his own child

Third Additional Sessions Judge Sujana Kalasikam sentenced an accused to rigorous imprisonment for life and a fine of Rs 1000, for for killing his seven-months old infant girl child.

According to Additional Public Prosecutor Mahajabeen, complainant Aggi Shyamala (25) married the accused namely Aggi Kumaraswamy (27) of Saraswathi Nagar locality, in Karimnagar town, on May 26, 2010.

The accused Kumaraswamy began harassing his wife Shyamala for additional dowry, accused her of "infidelity" and alleged that his seven-months old second daughter Pandu was not his child.

On June 29, 2013, he dipped the infant in a bucket of water and acted innocent.
 

His wife Shyamala searched for her child and found her dead in a bucket of water.

After she lodged a complaint, the Karimnagar rural police registered a case.

Her convicted husband has been shifted to Karimnagar district jail.
