Scotland Yard tonight arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of terrorism in Central London.
He is currently being held for questioning and no further details are available until the initial interrogation is complete.
"Officers from SO15 Counter Terrorism have arrested an 18-year-old man in central London on suspicion of preparation of terrorists acts contrary to Section 5 Terrorism Act 2006. He has been taken to a south London police station where he remains in custody.Enquiries continue," a Metropolitan Police statement said.
