Man held with cannabis in Udhampur

An alleged narcotic smuggler was arrested and nearly one kg cannabis was seized in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.

Acting on a specific information, police intercepted Ravi Kumar at Jakheni area of Udhampur district yesterday, Station House Officer (SHO), Udhampur, Mahesh Sharma said.

800 gram cannabis was recovered from him and he was arrested, he said.

A case under NDPS Act was registered against the accused and further investigation is on, he added.
