Man hospitalised, wife, children die after consuming poisonous

A woman and her two children died while her husband was battling for life here after they allegedly consumed poisonous food, the police said, adding that it is suspected to be a case of suicide.

Vinod kumar, a school teacher, his wife Kalpana, daughter Anju and son Nikhil consumed the food in their house, they said.

The incident came to light this evening when a neighbour went to their house and found all four in a unconscious state, the police said, adding that subsequently, they were rushed to a hospital,

Vinod is currently at the hospital while his wife and children were declared dead, SHO Pratap Nagar Hanumant Singh said.
 

"Prima facie, it appears to be a case of suicide. The matter is being probed," he said.
