Man rapes minor girl in J-K

A 45-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl after luring her from a wedding function in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district, police said today.

A written complaint was lodged at Reasi police station by the father of the victim, stating that on February 14, when all the family members were busy in a marriage ceremony, the accused lured his daughter from there, they said.

He took her to a nearby cattle-shed where he allegedly raped her and threatened her of dire consequences if she revealed the incident to any one, he said.

A case was registered in this connection, he said, adding that further investigation was underway.
