Man shot dead at music programme

A 35-year-old man was shot dead by an unidentified assailant during a folk music programme in a village here, police said today.

The incident occurred yesterday when Akhilesh Singh had gone to attend the music programme in Sukhpura village and was shot by an unidentified person behind the tent, they said, adding Singh died on the spot.

An FIR has been registered in this regard and the matter is being probed, police said.
