A man was shot dead by miscreants when he allegedly tried to resist a robbery bid here, police said today.
Surajpur Police Station in-charge Manish Saxena said yesterday afternoon the victim, Tarun, was driving when three persons stopped him near Makoda roundabout and tried to rob his car.
When he resisted, the accused opened fire at him. He was taken to private hospital where he succumed to his injuries this morning, he said.
A case has been lodged against three unidentified persons, Saxena said.
