Maoist, TPC engage in gun battle in Palamau

A fierce gun battle took place between a group of Maoists and cadres of its rival Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) faction in Jharkhand today.

The encounter took place near Kouriya village in Palamau district in the wee hours today, police said.

Several casualties are feared, they said, adding, further details are awaited.
