Middle-aged woman complains of being gangraped

A middle-aged woman has lodged a complaint of being allegedly gangraped by two unknown persons in southern part of the city.

According to the complaint lodged with the Survey Park Police Station, the woman, who runs a roadside tea stall on Survey Park Road, two labourers working at the ongoing Metro Project in that area allegedly gangraped her on August 8 night, a senior officer of Kolkata Police said.

"The woman lodged the complaint on August 9 with us alleging that she was raped by two labourers on August 8 night," the officer said.

A medical test has been conducted on the woman and police were waiting for its report, he said adding that a case against unknown persons has been started.
