Min temp remains normal in Punjab, mercury drops in Hary

The minimum temperature remained normal in most parts of Punjab, even as the mercury dropped in a few parts of Haryana today.
Among other places in Haryana, Karnal recorded a low of 7.2 degrees Celsius, four notches below normal, a MeT department official said.
Hisar recorded a minimum temperature of 8 degrees Celsius, five notches below normal, while Ambala's minimum was 12.6 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, he said.

The joint capital Chandigarh recorded a low of 11.2 degrees Celsius, the official said.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a low of 9.2 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, while the minimum temperatures of Ludhiana and Patiala were recorded at 11.6 and 11.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.
