Minimmum temperatures above normal in Punjab, Haryana

Fog shrouded some parts of Haryana and Punjab, bringing down visiblity, even as minimum temperatures continued to hover well above normal limits at most places in the two states.

According to the Met department here, fog reduced visibility at places including Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Karnal and Panipat.

Normal movement of vehicular traffic was also affected at many places in the two states due to fog.

Chandigarh recorded a minimum temperature of 8.4 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal limits. Ambala recorded a low of 10.3 degress Celsius, up two notches against normal. Karnal recorded a low of 10.2 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal limits.
 

Hisar registered a low at 11.5 degrees Celsius, four degrees above normal limits.

In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a low of 11.5 degrees Celsius, six degrees above normal.

Ludhiana's minimum also settled at 11.1 degrees Celsius, up three notches while Patiala registered a low of 10.3 degrees Celsius, two degrees more than normal.
