A four-year-old girl drowned into a pond near a construction site in Malwani area, police said today.
The mishap occurred last evening when Nidhi Chaurasia slipped and fell into the water body while playing.
Her father Vijesh Chaurasia works as a security guard at the site.
Police have prima facie ruled out any foul play as the girl's body did not bear any external injuries.
A case of accidental death was registered by Malwani police, a senior police officer said.
